We’re recruiting for several Signage Designer jobs in Nottingham, on behalf of one the UK’s largest, sign companies. As our clients recruitment partner, we’re looking for talented designers, with various levels of sign industry experience and design capabilities, from graphic design through to technical signage design for production. You’ll be joining a genuine market leader. Work on design briefs for national and international signage projects. Experience already gained in a sign design job is advantageous but not essential, training will be given to junior design talent.

Our client, the signage company, work with an enviable list of high profile blue chip clients, and leading brands.

Their portfolio of customers consists of some of the most recognizable names in sectors including retail, leisure, technology, finance and many more.

As a full service sign company, our client designs, manufactures, and installs large scale National and International signage programs. Project managing each stage of process, to deliver corporate identity and branding solutions for their clients physical spaces in the built environment. 

About the Signage Designer jobs

Due to both growth, internal promotions and the redeployment of people moving into different teams, our client is now recruiting for a number of signage design jobs in Nottingham.

Based at our clients UK Head Office, you’ll join the company’s design team. Work on exciting signage design projects for high profile companies and leading brands.

In this sign design job, you’ll be responsible for creating a vast range of signage designs. From simple window graphics, through to highly engineered signs, so big they need to be air lifted into position and installed on the side of a skyscraper.

Your design skills will be continuously inspired by the scope of projects and design briefs you’ll work on.

The sign design jobs responsibilities

In summary, this sign design job responsibilities will include working closely with Stakeholders, Project Managers and the  Production Team.

You’ll be tasked with creating design drawings that are both well considered and feasible to manufacture, stay within client brief, budget and be consistent with their brand identity.

Key tasks include:

  • Following design briefs and site surveys you’ll produce visual and / or manufacturing drawings to scale
  • Setting up artwork for production following design drawing approval
  • Collaborate with, and support, the other members of the design team
  • Create client visuals for presentations & tenders

You

So, to be considered for these Signage Design jobs, you’ll need to meet the following skill sets

Essential skills:

  • Able to read & interpret site surveys & follow design instructions
  • Proficient with design software, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop as a minimum
  • Great accuracy & attention to detail
  • The ability to proof read & check your own work
  • PC literate
  • Good time keeping & organizational skills
  • Capable of completing tasks within deadlines, occasionally including short lead times
  • Professional, approachable and proactive

 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of CorelDraw is highly desirable & is the main software used (training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Previous signage design experience advantageous but not essential as training will be given
  • SolidWorks (CAD) experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience of creating animated visuals is desirable but not essential.

  • Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8.00 am – 5.00 pm. Friday 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
