We’re recruiting for an experienced, Revit (BIM) Technician, minimum of one years experience, who can help add this skill set to an established design, engineering and project management consultancy. You’ll be responsible for information planning, using Revit and AutoCAD, placing wayfinding, signage and other elements of branding, into Revit Models. Experience of using Revit and AutoCAD software is required, as is good communication skills and sound understanding of how people interact and navigate space within the built environment.

Based in central London our client is a global brand implementation consultancy, specialising in managing brand consistency, visual identity, signage, wayfinding and how brands communicate within the built environment. Working directly with brands and in partnership with architects and design agencies, they translate brand identities into the built environment. Responsible for the design, value engineer, specification and management of supply chain partners as well as managing the implementation of high profile one off projects and global brand roll outs.

This Revit jobs responsibilities include:

You’ll be responsible for the creation of Revit content, placing brand elements, including signage and directional wayfinding schemes, into the Revit model. To date the Revit information planning has been out sourced. Bringing the skill set in-house you will assist other team members with their projects using Revit and AutoCAD as well as liaise with the architects and designers. This Revit jobs responsibilities will also include:

  • 2D and 3D sign family creation, placement within model and content scheduling.
  • 3D model quantity data extraction and verification.
  • Adhere to client’s BIM execution plans, project workflow criteria and content standards and procedures.
  • Assist in content, family and detail library development as well as template file management.
  • Drawing, import and placement of elements within the model together with clash detection and resolution.
  • Model synchronisation and non-geometric information exchange.
  • Print drawing sets and participate in team reviews.
  • Export DWG, DXF, DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
  • Work to high standards of quality and information accuracy.
  • Prepare deliverables for hand-over to internal teams, clients and suppliers.

You:

You’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of one years experience of up to date Revit software.
  • Experienced in modelling using 2D/3D software & understanding of interoperability between packages.
  • Ability to read and understand architects plans, elevations and technical drawings.
  • High level of accuracy, grammar and attention to detail.
  • Methodical approach to research with technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow a brief and work efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to ask questions when needed and be constructive and responsive to ideas.
  • Able to organise work through meticulous filing.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised.
  • Confident and articulate with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and approachable attitude.

Software skills:

  • Competent in use of the latest versions of Autodesk Revit Architecture and AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Navisworks, Dynamo, SolidWorks, Sketch-Up and Cinema 4D experience would be an advantage.
