To be considered you’ll need to demonstrate experience of working as a sign industry production manager, technical understanding of signage construction, production planning / production scheduling and the ability to manage and motivate the shop floor / production team. Finding the right person for this signage production manager’s job is vital to the company’s plans and future growth. Part of which includes further investment and their pending move to a new 30000 sq ft facility.

This signage Production Managers responsibilities:

Due to expansion this sign manufacturer needs to strengthen their management team. Our client is now looking to recruit an experienced sign production manager to help achieve their vision of future growth. They already have a digital print production manager, and are looking for a signage production manager, with sign industry production, assembly and / or technical experience.

You’ll be required to take ownership of the Production and Installations departments. This sign industry production manager jobs not about reinventing the wheel. Process and efficiency improvements are always welcome. However the role is to add an experienced sign production manager, who can manage the increased production work flow and help develop their continued growth strategy. Duties include:

  • Management of Production department – approximately 20 reports, including the Graphics Production Manager.
  • Management of the Installations Team – 6 in house crews.
  • Management of Sub-Contractors.
  • Production planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinating appropriate resource, overtime etc as and when required.
  • Motivation and management of shop floor staff.
  • Ordering materials and stock control.
  • Management of goods in and out of the unit.
  • Installation planning and management.

You:

This role will require you to be hands on and able to pitch in, not just manage the team from afar. You’ll need:

  • Experience of production management, supervision or team leadership within a medium or large sign manufacturing company.
  • Good people management skills, able to get the best out of people using motivating techniques that suit the individual.
  • Excellent communication skill, verbal and written.
  • Well organised with good attention to detail.
  • Able to cope under pressure, during busy times.
  • Ability to multitask and plan ahead to ensure production, delivery and installation dates are met.

Package:

  • Salary range: c£30,000 – c£38,0000 (Salary increase subject to meeting agreed KPI’s after 6 months)
  • Benefits: Pension
  • Holidays: 20 days + stats, rising to 23 after 3 years and 25 after 5 years service
