Overview:

This Revit Design job is with a well established brand implementation consultancy, with offices in London and the UAE. Specialising in branding the built environment they work with leading brands and in collaboration with architects, designers and branding agencies.  In this Revit Design / AutoCAD design job you’ll be responsible for the creation of Revit & AutoCAD content and acting as the Building Information Modelling (BIM) champion for the consultancy.

Taking conceptual designs and turning them in to practical solutions, through Production Design, Value Engineering, advising on Materials, Finishes and Specification. They then select and manage the supply chain partners, for signage, wayfinding and internal and external branding schemes, overseeing the complete project implementation.

Revit Designer jobs responsibilities, include:

Playing a key role within the design studio, in this AutoCAD / Revit Design job you’ll be responsible for championing The Revit Design and Building Information Modelling (BIM) aspects of the consultancy, creating Revit & AutoCAD content for signage, wayfinding and branding design projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • 2D and 3D sign family creation, placement within model and content scheduling.
  • 3D model quantity data extraction and verification.
  • Adhering to client’s BIM execution plans, project workflow criteria and content standards and procedures.
  • Assisting in content, family and detail library development as well as template file management.
  • Drawing, importing and placement of elements within the model, together with clash detection and resolution.
  • Model synchronisation and non-geometric information exchange.
  • Print drawing sets and participate in team reviews.
  • Produce signage technical intent drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Annotate plans, with location and orientation of signs, and prepare supporting message schedules in Excel.
  • Export DWG, DXF, DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
  • Work to high standards of quality and information accuracy.
  • Prepare deliverables for hand-over to internal teams, clients and suppliers.

  • Experience working on large, new build developments.
  • Proficient in modelling using 2D/3D software & understanding of interoperability between packages.
  • Ability to read and understand architects plans, elevations and technical drawings.
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow a brief and work efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Able to organise work through meticulous filing.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised.
  • Confident and articulate with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and approachable attitude.

Software:

  • Competent in use of the latest versions of Autodesk Revit Architecture and AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Navisworks, Dynamo, SolidWorks, Sketch-Up and Cinema 4D experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

Package & additional Info:

  • Hours of work Mon-Friday 9am to 5:30 pm. (Flexibility may be required on occasion) 
  • Salary £35,000 – £40,000.
  • Auto-enrolment pension, employer 2% contribution. (3% from April 2019)
