We’re recruiting for a Storeperson / Storeman job in Nottingham. You’ll be working in a thriving manufacturing environment, and have responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse and logistics. The hours of this Storemans job in Nottingham are Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm and 7.30am – 3.00pm Friday, overtime may be required at times. To be considered for this Storeman / Storeperson job you will have experience in a similar warehouse job role, be good with IT systems, and preferably be Forklift truck qualified.

About this Storeperson job

In this Storeperson job in Nottingham you’ll work in a great environment, alongside a successful and vibrant team. Hours of work are from 7.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30 am to 3.00 pm on Friday, with the potential for overtime during busy times.

The key point of this Storepersons job is to run the day to day operation of the Warehouse and Logistics (collection & despatch), ensuring
all data relating to the stores are accurate and the IT systems for the stores are maintained.

The Storemans job responsibilities

The Storemans job responsibilities will include:

• Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking & acceptance of all deliveries to stock
• Ensure all received stock is undamaged, everything ordered is present & accounted for
• Unloading goods, receiving & scanning goods, checking against orders & inspecting for damage
• Moving goods around a store & stocking shelves
• Picking goods from shelves & recording their movements
• Packing & sending orders to customers
• Data entry & paperwork
• Moving heavy pallets & goods using a forklift (Training provided if required)
• Booking out stock products to jobs
• Tidying up / general labour
• Collating jobs together
• Keeping the stock safe & secure
• Ensuring all processes are adhered to, escalating when procedures have not been followed
• Monthly stock takes
• Communicate with internal & external Engineers, Supervisors, & Managers
• Work additional hours as necessary to achieve the agreed objectives
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations as detailed in the company Health & Safety Manual

• Strong organisational skills
• Good communication skills with internal colleagues, external partners & sub-contractors
• Excellent time management while sticking to processes/procedures
• Reliable, trustworthy with excellent self-discipline
• Confident & capable with the ability to assess situations & use initiative
• Logical under pressure but must understand the urgency & respond accordingly
• Forklift truck qualified preferred, but training can be provided
• The ability to get to & from the factory at the required times to work
• Right to work & live in the UK

• Basic salary range: c.£9.50 – £11.00 per hour
