This Technical Design job is suitable for a mid-weight designer who has proficient skills using Autodesk Inventor. Offering the opportunity to work remotely, in this Inventor Design job you’ll be working on producing technical drawings for production for a company specialising in the design and implementation of internal and external architectural features. Ideally, you’ll have a background in working on technical designs for Windows, Facades / Cladding, or some similar light engineering products.

Ceilings and ceiling suspended decorative and placemaking solutions. Walling, facades and other interior and exterior architectural, decorative features. Through to eco-friendly LED lighting systems, illuminated backlit media, retail displays, and fabricated casings for technology-based products and installations.
Typical clients include supermarkets, department stores, shop in shop retail spaces through to showrooms, galleries, and workplace environments.

This Autodesk Inventor Design job is a permanent, full-time position. The role offers the opportunity for home based / remote working.
In brief, this technical design job will require you to produce working drawings for manufacture, using Autodesk Inventor. Products include bespoke and modular 3D metal frames, structures and aluminium clad units, installed in internal and external spaces.

The Technical Designer – Inventor jobs responsibilities will include:
- Create 2D & 3D design visuals
- Produce technical manufacturing drawings
- Product design & development
- Liaise with conceptual / creative design team
- Support sales & projects team with client visuals

So, to be considered for this 3D Technical Design job you must be able to demonstrate a background of working in a technical engineering design job and be proficient using Autodesk Inventor. It is expected that you will be a capable middleweight designer.

- Ability to produce high quality design visuals
- Knowledge of working in a design, manufacturing & installation business
- Ideally, you’ll have experience of working in metal fabrication, e.g. Aluminium cladding / facades, fascia’s & soffits, windows & doors etc
- Sound technical understanding & practical thinking
- Self-motivation, capable of working remotely & independently
- Well organised, disciplined & proactive
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail & an appreciation of design led, innovative solutions
- The right to work, and currently reside, in the UK
