Overview:
A sign industry sales job vacancy for a signage Business Development Manager with a leading sign maker within the UK sign industry. In this Business Development job, you’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities for signage, corporate identity and branding contracts. Working from the company’s database of existing live and dormant clients as well as researching and developing new leads you’ll be targeted to achieve £500,000 in your first year.

With a strong reputation in the market, our client designs, manufactures and installs bespoke signage for some of the UK’s most recognisable Brands. They work with Blue Chip clients, across a variety of market sectors including retail, financial and leisure, providing multiple site re-branding, corporate identity roll outs and prestigious one off signage projects.
The role:
- Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director you’ll be responsible for:
- Researching leads, and generating sales / new business opportunities with leading brands and end users.
- Working off the company’s CRM, you’ll manage the client database, updating records and recording communications to help maintain client accounts and their records, building rapport, customer relations and ultimately maximising sales opportunities.
- Communicating with clients over the phone, by email and face to face.
- Nurturing and developing previous accounts that may have become dormant.
- First year sales target: £500,000
You:
- You’re self motivated and sales oriented, with good communication skills and the ability develop relationships with people.
- Ideally you’ll have already gained experience within a similar sales position, within a service based sales environment, selling to end users or brand owners.
- Experience of the sign industry would be ideal, and a Project Manager wanting to move into a sales role will be considered.
- Sales experience from an allied sector, such as but construction, shopfitting / interior fit out or retail display would also be seriously considered.
