Business Development Manager jobs responsibilities

Working alongside the Management Team, the Business Development Managers job responsibilities are to ultimately generate business revenue growth, and will include:

  • Researching and validating new business opportunities through online research, google alerts, constant scanning of social media and other proactive sales and marketing techniques.
  • Gain strategic understanding of target clients business structure, identifying and engaging with key decision makers and influencers of the purchasing process, within large complex organisations.
  • Using multi-channel sales and marketing techniques, including phone, email, social media and networking to raise awareness of the companies branding services, to develop new clients and ultimately convert into sales revenue.
  • Identify emerging markets and potential opportunities such as mergers and acquisitions, growing brands entering new regional locations and potential client branding and re-branding opportunities.
  • Updating customer information on the CRM system, maintain detailed records of calls and meetings and reporting regularly on development requirements.
  • Understand and utilise customer data on CRM system and generated by marketing campaigns
  • Meet KPIs – call targets, opportunities identified, meetings secured, decision-makers added to CRM etc.

To be considered for this branding business development job you’ll need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent research and business development skills.
  • Computer literate, with excellent English written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional languages would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development, within B2B marketing and/or branding.
  • Highly attentive to detail, self-motivated, organised and results driven.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and collaborate with the team.
  • Able to build and enhance working relationships.
  • Comfortable presenting products or services over the phone and face to face.
  • Ability to work with multicultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with high level key decision makers in business.

  • Basic Salary Range: £40,000 – £55,000 dependant on experience
