Recruiting a Project Director for an international signage consultancy, specialising in the global delivery of innovative, large-scale signage and branding solutions. With operations spanning multiple continents, our client manages complex international rollouts for some of the world’s most iconic brands. Due to consistent growth, we’re now recruiting a Project Director, on behalf of our client, to lead their projects team and play a pivotal role in the commercial management of global signage rollouts, and the further success of the business.

About this Project Director job
This Project Director role has been created to support the growth of our client’s international signage consultancy. It offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the consultancies continuous global growth.
As they expand their global footprint, our client is looking for a commercially astute, high-performing project leader to head up the Projects Team and drive the strategic delivery, and commercial results, of major international signage rollout programs.
In addition, the opportunity for future career advancement is available, as part of the signage consultancy’s succession planning.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to the global strategic direction of the business by identifying opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and innovation in international markets.
- Support tendering and business development, by contributing technical and commercial expertise.
- Represent the company at international industry events, client forums, and commercial presentations.
Project Delivery Leadership
- Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of international signage projects, from contract award to final installation.
- Lead local and regional project management teams, ensuring alignment with global standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure seamless coordination between internal departments, design, manufacturing, logistics, installation, as well as external partners.
- Drive innovation, consistency, and efficiency in project delivery across all global markets.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the senior point of contact for global clients, consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners.
- Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key accounts and international stakeholders.
- Attend global client meetings, project briefings, and site visits to ensure requirements are fully understood and met.
Commercial Management
- Take full ownership of the commercial success of the international projects portfolio.
- Approve project budgets, negotiate contract terms, and manage risks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Track financial performance, ensuring margin protection, cost control, and value engineering.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures across different countries.
- Champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and ethical business practice globally.
About you
So, to be considered for this Project Director job opportunity, you’ll need:
- Proven track record in a senior project or commercial role within the signage, construction, fit-out, or branding industries.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Culturally aware and adept at managing diverse teams across different countries and time zones.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Advantageous
These additional skills and experience would be advantageous:
- Experience managing multi-country or global project rollouts.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with international contracts, budgeting, and cost control.
- Understanding of signage manufacturing, installation, and logistics on a global scale.
- Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Project management certifications, e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM.
- In addition to English, French, Spanish or German, would be useful but are not essential.
